Peep shows were establishments where one could purchase brass tokens and then enter a room with a curtained window. You would then place a token in a slot and the curtain would open, revealing an erotic film or often a live performance.
I collect these hard-to-find vintage brass tokens to turn into jewelry. Some of them feature a zodiac sign on one side with a corresponding characteristic and sex position on the back. These astrological tokens are particularly fun for lockets, as from the outside the jewelry is innocent. Only you and the people you choose to share with know its cheeky secret ;)
Each token is slightly larger than a US quarter. Locket comes on an 18" oxidized brass chain.
There were different pressings of these tokens with minute differences in design. In addition, each locket is made by hand. Please allow for subtle differences and “imperfections” in each piece. I do my best to have each listing show photos of the exact piece you are purchasing.
